The Boston Hurricanes Athletics asked me to redesign their existing online presence for their non-profit organization. The Hurricanes are a provider of uncompromising sports programs to young adults with ties to Boston's Chinatown community. Basketball and Volleyball are the main venues for participating members.
The Hurricanes wanted me to revamp the website that I had originally created for them. I thought that the original website was a bit too dark so I decided to use more of the orange color to accentuate the website. (The Hurricanes' team colors are navy blue and orange). Just as the new website was finished, the Hurricanes basketball team went on to win the National Championship in Montreal in 2004.
Some of the effects on this website include a collapsable menu & submenu system. A roster section which takes advantage of image alphas and layer technology.
