The Boston Hurricanes Athletics formed a women's volleyball team and wanted me to create a logo for their new team. The team name was The SugarCanes which represents the "Canes" organization directly. I was commissioned to develop a logo and identity for the team.

I drew up some stalks of bamboo for the logo (sugar cane are strong and flexible) and focused on utilizing some familiar elements of their parent organization -- namely the ArtBrush font and orange team colors. I felt the font gave the stalks of sugar cane a playful and fun look. With budgeting concerns, I was limited to using only a few colors for my design, but I felt I came up with a look that was fun and meaningful.

The team logo was well-liked by the team captain and they have it printed on their uniforms.
